Dr. Martin Friedmutter
Dr. Friedmutter is a licensed Psychologist and has over twenty-five years of private practice experience. He received his Psy.D. in School/Clinical Psychology from Yeshiva University.
Dr. Friedmutter's primary interests and leading area of expertise is in the treatment and diagnosis of children, adolescents and adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Learning Disabilities (LD). He has extensive experience focusing on the evaluation and treatment of children and adults who have ADHD and/or LD. He is able to identify the specific learning problem and can then recommend the appropriate type of accommodations.
Dr. Rebecca Friedmutter
Dr. Friedmutter is a licensed Psychologist in New York state and Nationally Certified School Psychologist. She graduated from St. John's University with a Psy.D. in School Psychology. Dr. Friedmutter received training at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and completed a pre- and post-doctoral internship at the New York City Department of Education.
Dr. Friedmutter is skilled in working with children, adults, and families. She has extensive experience assessing learning disabilities (such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyspraxia, and dyscalculia) and determining appropriate recommendations and interventions.
Her primary areas of expertise are in the treatment and diagnosis of Anxiety Disorders and Developmental Disorders. She has extensive training in conducting Neuropsychological evaluations. In addition, she specializes in assessing adaptive behavior and daily living skills. Dr. Friedmutter is trained in assessing Autism and is certified in using Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition.
Dr. Friedmutter has presented her research at annual conventions for American Psychological Association (APA), National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), and Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT). She has presented numerous workshops to school administrators and teachers on the special education process.
